【GW Information】Rental Fee and Return Option
Thank you for using us always.
Due to the period of peak demand（Golden Week in 2020; 2020/4/29-2020/5/6）, the weekend price is applied to the rental fee on 4/30（Thu）and 5/1（Fri）, even though these dates are weekdays.
★ April 30（Thu）, May 1（Fri） ➡ WEEKEND PRICE ★
We’re sorry but Bicycle Return Options is not available during Golden Week. Because it’s the highest season and there will be a lot of use, we would like to give chances to use our bikes for as many customers as possible.
★During GW from April 28(Tue)to May 6(Wed)★ ➡ “Bicycle Return Options” NOT AVAILABLE

Thank you for using us always. For expansion of the infection of Coronavirus, in order to ensure our customers to stay healthy and safety, we take extra care for the following measures. Wearing Mask Staffs may wear masks and gloves, depending on the circumstances, taking into account the health and safety of the customers and staffs. 【Canceled due to lack of snow】WINTER FUN RIDE! ＊Mountainbiking in the Snow !＊
We will have a “Fun Ride” in which we staffs and you enjoy cycling together.
We organized a fun event in which you will have fun of riding and playing in the snow! If you have a mountain bike, you can ride even in the snow.
We have lots of snow every winter here in Maibara.
Usually, you can’t cycle when it snows, that’s the reason why our rental bicycle shop is closed during winter.
However, we have a way to enjoy cycling even in the snow. It’s mountain bike. So, why don’t we play in the snow, by mountainbiking!
We don’t have so many mountain bikes for rental, but we can arrange a few ones for this event specially.
Don’t worry about biking in the snow even if you’re a beginner. Some experienced staffs will be with you.
Let’s hung out for the winter wonderland together!

WINTER CLOSING【2019/12/16-2020/2/21】
Thank you for using our rental bike shop this year as well.
It’s the time again that we should tell you about our winter closing.
We will close our shop during winter, from December 16th, 2019 until February 21, 2020.
Because here the north area of Shiga Prefecture will be covered with snow, at least the road will be icy, it is not good condition for biking.
We staffs are taking break during New Year’s holidays from Dec. 29, 2019 to Jan. 10, 2020.
If you have any questions about our rental bicycle service or something about cycling around Lake Biwa, please contact us via email or phone after Jan. 10th.
Making reservations is available online during our break as well but our checking/confirming and reply will be done after Jan. 10th.
Thank you for your understanding.
We will start to accept reservations on January 11st in 2020.
And we will re-open our shop and start to rent bikes on February 22, Saturday.
See you next spring! And, you know, Tokyo Olimpic 2020 will take place next summer!! Can’t wait!

We made a cycling plan for Eigenji Temple in Higashiomi.
Autumn season is there, so why don’t you enjoy the colorful leaves? Red colored leaves and temple is so scenic!
And the autumn air is comfortably cool, it’s the best chance to ride around and you’ll feel great by cycling!
Since we staffs go with you, you can ride easily without getting lost.

Temporarily close due to Typhoon Hagibis approaching
Thank you for using us always. A powerful typhoon ” Hagibis ” is coming now. According to the weather forecast, the typhoon Hagibis will hit the Kansai region, including Shiga prefecture, this Saturday on October 12th. 【IMPORTANT】Rental Price Increase Notice
RENTAL PRICE INCREASE NOTICE Thank you for using our service of BIWAICHI RENTAL CYCLE. The price increase of materials has affected our bicycle maintenance cost ever, furthermore, the consumption tax rate will increase 10% from October 1, 2019. We have tried to maintain our current pricing as long as possible, but it became difficult for us to continue to do so. We will revise our prices on bicycle rental service effective October 1, 2019. Regarding the reservation which you would make by September 30, 2019, even though it is the reservation for the date on or after October 1, 2019, we will take your reservation at the current pricing. e.g. If you would like to rent a bicycle on October 5 and make the reservation on September 27, you can use our service at the price before the revision on that day. We will make further efforts in providing better service. We appreciate your understanding.
