【Canceled due to lack of snow】WINTER FUN RIDE! ＊Mountainbiking in the Snow !＊

We will have a “Fun Ride” in which we staffs and you enjoy cycling together.

We organized a fun event in which you will have fun of riding and playing in the snow! If you have a mountain bike, you can ride even in the snow.

We have lots of snow every winter here in Maibara.
Usually, you can’t cycle when it snows, that’s the reason why our rental bicycle shop is closed during winter.
However, we have a way to enjoy cycling even in the snow. It’s mountain bike. So, why don’t we play in the snow, by mountainbiking!
We don’t have so many mountain bikes for rental, but we can arrange a few ones for this event specially.

Don’t worry about biking in the snow even if you’re a beginner. Some experienced staffs will be with you.

Let’s hung out for the winter wonderland together!

February 23（Sun）, 2020　10:00 am – 2:00 pm　※Meeting Time/9:50 am


■Meeting Point
Ibuki Town, in Maibara City
*We will decide the meeting point depending on the amount of snowfall, then will let you know where we meet, and the details there, 1 week before.

■Fee
FREE
※Please prepare the budget for the lunch, etc.

■Rental Bicycle
If you don’t have your own moutainbike, you can rent our moutainbike.（5280 yen/1 bike）
Please let us know that at the application, if you’d like to rent one.

■What to bring
・Mountainbike & Helmet（Wearing helmet is necessary）
・Clothing for outdoors in winter

■Number of Participants
Maximum 10 people

■In case of bad weather..
We make a decision according to the weather forecast before that day, and let you know if the event will take place or not.

■ Our Wish
This is just a ride event in which both we and participants enjoy cycling easily. It’s not an official paid tour, so we won’t get insurance. Thank you for your understanding.

WINTER CLOSING【2019/12/16-2020/2/21】

Thank you for using our rental bike shop this year as well.

It’s the time again that we should tell you about our winter closing.
We will close our shop during winter, from December 16th, 2019 until February 21, 2020.
Because here the north area of Shiga Prefecture will be covered with snow, at least the road will be icy, it is not good condition for biking.

We staffs are taking break during New Year’s holidays from Dec. 29, 2019 to Jan. 10, 2020.
If you have any questions about our rental bicycle service or something about cycling around Lake Biwa, please contact us via email or phone after Jan. 10th.
Making reservations is available online during our break as well but our checking/confirming and reply will be done after Jan. 10th.
Thank you for your understanding.

We will start to accept reservations on January 11st in 2020.
And we will re-open our shop and start to rent bikes on February 22, Saturday.

See you next spring! And, you know, Tokyo Olimpic 2020 will take place next summer!! Can’t wait!
